Australian National Champs Feb 22-27 2011, Adelaide SA.

Australian National Champs are to be held in Adelaide at Eagle Mountain Bike Park Feb 22-27 2011. The same great atmosphere as last year will be combined with exciting new track changes and a Slew of the world’s best riders confirmed. Come for the week and get into the Adelaide Fringe Festival while you’re here. Featuring 6 disciplines of mountain biking including Downhill, Olympic Cross Country, 4X, Short Course Cross Country, Trials and Dirt Jumps, this is an action packed event. Eagle Mountain Bike Park will again play host to the Championships, with the event village nestled amongst an amphitheatre of trails. Featuring a tightly packed schedule along with music, commentary and live video on a big screen showing in the village, the atmosphere will be electric. In Downhill competition you will see current Mens Downhill World Champ Sam Hill as well as Junior World Champion Troy Brosnan.

Cross country racing will feature most of Australia’s contingent from the 2009 World MTB Championships in Canberra, including Olympian Dan McConnell and highest placed Australian in the under 23 Women’s category, local hero, Terri Rhodes. It’s a huge week of cycling in South Australia and accommodation will be tight. Don’t miss out on this festival of wheels, book early and stay for the Fringe Festival.
